Sri Lanka / Voyage
Exotic, smiling, bright and spicy – these are the first associations that come to my mind when I think of Sri Lanka.
Tehe island of Sri Lanka lies off the southern tip of India in the Indian Ocean, a verdant paradise that is the cradle of the Buddhist faith. Apart from hundreds of miles of the world’s most beautiful palm-fringed beaches, Sri Lanka boasts no less than seven World Heritage Sites listed by UNESCO. So let’s start our exciting journey right from the arrival!
The overcrowded noisy Colombo airport welcomes inquisitive visitors who don’t have the slightest idea of what a wonderful world is waiting for them. My first impression was that it’s like standing over the Tower of Babel: different languages, nationalities, emotions, everything mixed up, so right here you start to get what globalization is.
