Brill to Chill Innit? a small portion of British slang / Vocabulary
CHAV
A young working-class person who dresses in casual sports clothes. The lowest common denomenator of English society, equivalent to white trash for Americans although with many differences.
“You shitty scum chav”
“Hey I like the way you have chavved up ya car/wardrobe/lifestyle/language”
WELL GOOD
Short and effective phrase used by one who approves of something, it is only used when the user cannot be bothered to think of a better superlative.
“Freestylers was well good!”
BUFF
Means attractive or well-toned. Somebody who is buff has an attractive body, they look ‘fit’.
When a man/gal is well attractive they is defined as “buff,” meaning they is very sexy.
“Stacey, have you seen my new mans, he’s well buff, innit?” “Wow that girl is buff”
