Paramore gimme more / Music
With the release of their first album, All We Know Is Falling, Paramore established themselves as a competent bunch of teenagers with an ear for big rock riffing and pop punk melodrama. But it was the release of their second record, Riot!, that saw things really start to take off. Led by a clutch of singles destined to be the most over used ringtones of the past two years, Paramore were suddenly everywhere – headlining Warped Tours*, doing arenas and Jimmy Eat World tours and gathering a dangerously rabid fanbase comprised of tweens, teens and tough guys alike. Then along came a little old movie about vampires.
“I really enjoyed the books, before knowing they were making the movie,” explains frontwoman Hayley Williams of Paramore’s contribution to the monstrous Twilight series – the lead single and mega radio hit “Decode”.
