I teach my child English: Speaking / English for kids
I t was time to introduce speaking. Ooh! It turned out not that horrible. As long as you know the main words from your daily routine. You can do it with regular everyday things, “It’s time to change your diaper”, “where is your favorite rattle?”, “what has your mummy done with your baby powder/oil (whatever you use)?”, “Does my little bunny want another spoonful of that yummy porridge?”
We had a lot of fun at the time: diaper changes offer a chance for some special one-on-one time. Very often my monologues were interrupted by… me – needed to check a word in the dictionary… I didn’t realize how many useful things we weren’t taught in the university…Mainly it concerned baby clothes (PJs (пижама), a sleep-n-play/sleeper («человечек» - детский ночной комбинезон), a romper (песочник), onesie (боди), and bodily functions (burp, poop, wee, fart – or do babies only break wind?). You should agree changing clothes and diapers...
